Our Fees

Although we would like to provide our services free of charge, we simply are
unable to do so. A small fee of $10 per session helps defray the costs of
providing shelter for our horses, their feed, medical needs, saddles and tack,
and other materials for our programs. This is a very small fee compared to other
facilities which makes our programs more accessible and affordable for everyone.

In some instances even $10 a session for 8 weeks may be a hardship for
a family in crisis. For this reason we have a Scholarship Fund. Those seeking
subsidized fees through our Scholarship Fund may apply in writing to our facility.

We have NO annual or recurring membership fees. All fees are payable
in advance. This serves to hold your place in a group for the 8 week period
.
Tardiness and absences are frowned upon, however; we understand sickness,
conflicting schedules, and emergencies do arise from time to time. In some
instances we will allow children a make up session. This will need to be arranged in advance, immediately after an absence.

Our Schedule

We currently have 3 programs per year, Spring, Summer and Fall. Each
program runs 8 consecutive weeks as well as on Saturdays.

We are open Monday through Friday from 10am till 6:00pm and Saturdays from
10:00am till 2pm. We are closed on Sundays, holidays, and for inclimate weather.
We will attempt to contact each of our participants by phone should bad weather
threaten. Also, watch your local TV stations for closings due to weather.

Our groups are small, usually 5 children per group, which affords us the
opportunity to work "one on one" and individually. We will have at least 3 trained
volunteers available for all sessions, as well as regular staff and farm personnel.

Many therapeutic riding programs only run 30 minute sessions. Our sessions
run a 50 minutes! Remember, we are doing much more here than just
horseback riding, so this does not mean a full hour of horseback riding.

Currently we can accommodate 3 morning sessions (8:30am, 9:30am, and
10:30am) and 4 afternoon sessions (2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm)
Monday through FridayWe also offer Saturday sessions at 10:00am till 2:00pm.
Realizing everyone has a hectic schedule these days, our session times were
created with the child and parent in mind. We hope one of our sessions will work
for you.

We do not serve meals here during sessions. Also, some families may not be
able to afford snacks, therefore snacks are discouraged for the hour clients are
here during the week.

Our small $10 fee per session is due and payable for all 8 sessions in
advance ($80). Other facilities run 30 minute sessions at $20-$30 per session for
a 10 week program which costs ($200-$300). As you can see, we aren't in the
business of making money or building fame and prestige. Everyone here has a
very giving heart. We all want to help your child reach their fullest potential and
succeed in having a happy and productive life.

We offer "F U N" Summer Day Camps from May through July! Day camps are
usually on weekdays from 10am-2pm with lunches and afternoon snacks
provided. There are lots of things to see, do, explore, and learn being on a farm.
Animals can teach us so much about life!

We also offer Family Days where families are invited to bring picnic baskets and
take lunches by the pond or under the shade of a tall oak tree while watching the
ducks, geese, and other waterfowl swim and bathe in their natural habitat.

and tell us about your group that wishes to participate in our
programs. We have a standing invitation policy to all youth groups! Just because
our Riding Center offers therapeutic programs for some children doesn't mean it
can't be fun for others!
